5 Smart Traffic Tactics You Haven’t Heard Before

In: Sell Products on Twitter

The final secret is to find the communities in your market. There are already websites where thousands of your potential customers hang out. Find them and join up. Answer questions and help people. Then, they will start searching the web for you. Build up your reputation and simply help others. It takes time and a bit of effort, but before long you will have a raving audience by simply becoming part of the community and helping people that are already interested in what you do.

You should also be building relationships with your customers. The better they know you and like you, the more likely they are to buy from you and your company. Do a show on Ustream, respond to comments on your blog posts, and deliver content they can devour and enjoy.

The fourth secret is relationships. Building the right relationships for your business can get you immediate massive traffic. My email is full of joint venture requests every day. I pay attention to people that I care about. Consider how much easier it is to reach out to a friend and ask for their help. Wouldn’t that work better than sending a spammy email to someone you don’t know?

Secret number three is remembering to treat your audience like real people. Most focus on numbers, statistics, and conversion more than they should… Every one of your prospects is a human being, not a number. Do you enjoy those annoying popup windows? They may not like it either. Think about your customers first and the experience they have on your sites. You have to keep two specific things in mind – your sales and the experience of thos that come to your site. You should think of both to get better sales with the same amount of traffic.

Secret two is your story. People don’t want to do business with companies, they want to work with people. What is the reason you sell what you do? Do you have an interesting background story related to your business? Do you sell your products because of something that happened to you in the past? Your story will bring more sales and better customers. It qualifies people and helps them get to know the real you. The perception of you that your customer takes from what you do is important and some things may be best left unsaid.
A great way to talk to people is Twitter. Find people that talk about what you are doing in your business by using Twitter’s search function. Follow them to stay updated on what they do and interact with your audience. As you talk to more people, you gain the attention of others who will talk to you.

The first secret is to have interesting, public conversations. Have conversations with others in your niche, and your potential customers. You can do this via your blog by linking to blog posts on other blogs that are interesting to you. Swipe their ideas to help you create something your customers would want to read. Post a link to their post inside yours and they get a notice called a “trackback in their comments. Most of the time, this will start a conversation that will bring you both more targeted traffic.

The web is changing and there are specific things that nobody seems to discuss about how you can reach more people. Did you know that it actually takes less effort then before? By realizing some things about your customers and the way the internet is going, you can reach more people now.
